While all are designed to fill the hair with the proper amount of moisture, there are a few products that are especially good. Yes, but be sure to use proper heat levels for the longevity and health of your hair. If you use a flat iron, we highly recommend using PerForm Control Styling Gel and/or Taffy or Simply Straight Progressive Straightner. If you are using too much heat, these products will let you know by smoking off. Because of it’s low “flash” point, it will smoke off and with this indication, you should back off with the dryer, or lower the temperature of the iron you are using.

Can I use my usual moisturizer with these products?

Some products are completely compatible with Belegenza, but we first recommend that you give your hair a fresh start for the first 30 days of use, to allow the residue from other products that may undermine the effects of Belegenza. For example, moisturizers may have a silicone derivative, or a mineral oil derivative. These may not allow the full effects of Belegenza to penetrate, or may congeal on the hair making a “gooey” effect on the hair. Give your hair and scalp a chance get a fresh start by using Belegenza for 30 days (approximately 12 shampooings). As the silicone barriers/masks come off the hair, some textures may experience a bit of tangling. Be sure to use RoMANce Deep Conditioning Treatment or VirgINity Hair Repair. t’s true. We use very gently lathering agents, but they clean as well or better than SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate), though it doesn’t lather as much. We’ve certainly seen results, and hear about them regularly. There are many reasons for falling and thinning hair. Some are pretty obvious and well known, but keep reading for a shocking few secrets about hair loss.
The obvious:

This happens in shipping from time to time. When the product gets a bit to cold, it solidifies. It doesn’t affect the performance once it returns to about 75 degrees F. The easiest thing to do is set the bottle in a container of warm water until the product liquefies.
I see smoke when I am blowing dry/ironing my hair. Is that a problem?

It is annoying, but it is an indication that you are using too much heat. The heat is burning off the delicate product rather than allowing the heat to damage your hair.
This is common on hair that is damaged, and when the silicone slicking agents are not present, it may exacerbate the tangling. Continue to build your hair’s strength with RoMANce Deep Conditioning Treatment and Virginity until it stops tangling which may take time. Remember your hair typically grows about ½ inch per month, and as you trim off the extremely damaged part, you will have perfectly grown healthy hair with time and continued use of Belegenza.
My scalp is oily and sometimes itchy. What ‘s the problem and how can I remedy this?

The obvious shampooing regularly will help. Try exfoliating with a soft bristle brush on a regular basis. BRUSH your scalp daily before shampooing. This will increase the circulation thus assisting the scalp in balancing itself, and be sure to rinse with attention on rinsing the scalp rather than just rinsing your hair.
Are your fragrances organic? What do you mean by phthalate-free?
Our natural, customized fragrances are a new version of fragrance that is Phthalate-free. This is a plastic-like component that may be linked to reproductive issues in young males especially. Belegenza not only has these specially formulated, but we use a very low concentration of pure fragrance to keep sensitivities from being activated. Some people are allergic to plain foods, so we believe in keeping things lie fragrance in the lowest concentrations possible.
All of our ingredients have a track record of safety, and have already been deemed safe in line with FDA rules and regulations. But, when it comes to testing the final products, we are only testing for efficacy (do they work to make hair look better) and start on mannequins before we test on salon clients. I have crazy curls. What do I do to keep my curls smooth?

Curls need moisture. It’s plain and simple. The nature of a curly hair is quite like a sponge. You either give it moisture, or it will pull it from the humidity, and you know what happens then! FRIZZ and out of control flyaways.
Here are a few pointers that not everyone is aware of:
Hairs have a surface that is similar to shingles on a roof, called the cuticle layer. Straight hairs have a smooth arrangement of “shingles” and curled hairs have shingles that are rough feeling, allowing the inner core of the hair to interact with the atmosphere much easier. Hair can only retain so much moisture(water) at any given time, so to control hair, you must have the perfect amount.
Let’s back up. Hair can only have a certain amount of water on the inside, trapped by the cuticle. When it is perfectly filled with moisture, it can no longer absorb more water (humidity). Also, when sealed properly by the shingles, it will stay in the style you put it in until you alter the water/moisture level. So that is part of the trick to keeping your hair in the style you desire. Fill the hair properly, and seal it, until the next time you shampoo it.
The problem with curly hair is that the cuticle is somewhat open; the shingles are not perfectly aligned and sealed. This allows for the core of the hair to allow too much moisture out during the styling phase, and then reabsorb the water(humidity) either from the atmosphere or your “personal sauna” (sweat), thus reactivating your curls’ natural patterns. Therefore, if you have placed the desired curls, and there are varying degrees of curliness, you may end up with a mess, so make sure to balance the moisture level with a conditioner that is designed for perfect inner balance, like RoMANce Deep Conditioning Treatment. Seal it with EnCore Leave-In Conditioner and or PerForm Control Gel with Taffy or Simply Straight.
But before you reach for products you must not towel the hair too much. You know that head wrap thing that you do that seems all glamorous after you shampoo and leave wrapped while you do your makeup, eat breakfast, get dressed, feed the cat? That’s the very first problem in your regimen. You must leave enough water ON the hair when you put the styling products IN your hair. After rinsing RoMANce out of the hair, simply squeeze the excess water out of the hair and if necessary only BLOT your hair with a towel making sure not to ruffle the curls. Grab your EnCore, PerForm, and Taffy or Simply Straight and work them into the hair with a scrunching action onto all the hair working it from the ends back to the scalp area without running your fingers through the hair. Yes you will be dripping a bit, but remember, all Belegenza Extraordinary Hair Care products are safe for the hair and skin, just make sure you are careful not to slip on the wet floor ( put a towel down or something). Once you’ve arranged your hair, let it dry from this very “wet and drippy” state. If you usually use a diffuser, wait as long as you can so that the very drippiest water has either dripped out, or has evaporated. Yes, this takes a little longer, but I promise that later in the day, you will be thankful! You see, the problem with the towel drying is that it makes the surface water on each hair uneven. Some hairs actually are touching the towel and others don’t. So as soon as you remove the towel, your approximately 90,000 hairs all have a different moisture level on the OUTSIDE of the hair. Then when you put products in, they are being slightly diluted in different proportions. Some hairs dry perfectly, some are frizzy and the others are just independently confused! By the end of the day, you have 90,000 different interpretations of what you intended….resulting in BAD HAIR DAY AND CRAZY CURLS!
The point? Make the hair consistently wet, fill it properly, seal it consistently.
By the way… most peoples’ answer to curl control is using gels that are crunchy…..Mix PerForm Control Gel with Taffy and enter a new world of soft perfect curls!
